Is my loft suitable for boarding?

Suitability depends on your loft, its access and the intended use. We assess the existing structure, insulation and practical storage area before recommending work. Storage boarding does not turn a loft into a habitable room.

Can boarding be fitted above insulation?

Raised boarding can create storage above existing insulation. The height and arrangement need to suit your loft, while preserving ventilation and access. We discuss the insulation and boarding together rather than assume one system fits every property.

What if I have a new-build home?

Let us know your property is a new build and share any builder or warranty guidance you have. We consider those requirements when discussing options. Suitability and warranty conditions need checking for your particular home.

Which ladder or hatch should I choose?

The choice depends on the hatch opening, floor-to-loft height, landing space and how you use the loft. We fit metal ladders and integrated wooden ladder-and-hatch options, and can discuss hatch alterations where practical.

How is the price worked out?

Our advertised raised boarding rate is £55 per m² including labour, plus VAT (£66 per m² including VAT). Ladders, hatches, shelving and lighting are priced separately. Your quote should confirm the boarding area, agreed options and total cost before you decide.

How do I get a free quote?
